Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, and repair pipe, vessels, tubing, structural steel, and other metal work.
• Maintain, repair, and rebuild rotating equipment including pumps, blowers, agitators, and mechanical seals.
• Perform welding tasks using SMAW (stick) and GTAW (TIG) techniques on carbon steel and various stainless steels.
• Execute millwright tasks such as designing and installing foundations and performing precision shaft alignment using laser equipment.
• Utilize various tools and machinery including cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters, and threading machines.
• Participate in plant health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) initiatives and follow all life-critical procedures.
• Diagnose and correct rotating equipment problems and replace small electric motors.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals to complete work orders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in industrial construction or maintenance.
• 5+ years of experience as a welder and pipe fitter.
• Proficiency in SMAW and GTAW welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions.
• Strong mathematical competency for calculating offsets, surfaces, volumes, weights, and measures.
• Ability to solve practical problems using logic and handle complex variables.
• Proficiency in using computers to process work orders and order supplies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in millwrighting.
• Demonstrated competency in welding and millwright skills through hands-on testing.
