Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on production and facility equipment
• Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
• Identify causes of unexpected machine breakdowns and record/report damaged or worn parts
• Order and install replacement parts for various machinery
• Assist in electrical projects, minor electrical repairs, and pipe fitting tasks
• Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water, and sewer systems
• Maintain documentation, inventory, and organized shop areas, tools, and supplies
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular machine maintenance

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• At least 1 year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license
• 1+ year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts
• 1+ year of experience implementing Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
