Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions in plant machinery and process equipment
• Repair and rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and instrumentation including level sensors and photo eyes
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant and process equipment
• Execute electrical troubleshooting, including testing fuses and reading electrical prints
• Perform welding tasks using wire feed, stick, or TIG methods
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and understand flow controls
• Use CMMS to process work orders, manage PMs, and track inventory
• Operate forklifts and aerial platforms to complete repairs
• Maintain ammonia, steam, and HVAC systems as required

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, or welding skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and move up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Ability to work in environments with extreme heat, extreme cold, and outdoor weather
• Capability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs for long periods
• Flexibility to work PM shifts (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) and weekends/holidays as needed
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring weight, volume, and distance
