Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment including conveyors, forklifts, industrial batteries, carton sealers, and HVAC systems.
• Manage daily routines such as changing, watering, and charging forklift batteries and maintaining the cardboard baler.
• Conduct routine inspections of safety and fire suppression systems, including fire pumps, sprinklers, alarms, and eyewash stations.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and assist the Maintenance Manager with parts inventory, purchasing, and project scheduling.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following housekeeping practices and reporting potential hazards to management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate knowledge of electronic and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical trade school certification or diploma.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
