Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment including conveyors, forklifts, industrial batteries, carton sealers, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of safety and fire suppression systems such as fire pumps, sprinklers, alarms, and eyewash stations.
• Manage daily forklift battery maintenance, including changing, watering, and charging.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with parts inventory, purchasing, and preventative maintenance scheduling.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following housekeeping practices and reporting hazards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade school preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of electronic and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Basic skills in plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
• Basic computer literacy and strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with limited supervision.
• Physical ability to lift 10 to 55 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for 6 to 10 hours a day.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a distribution or warehouse environment.
