Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform daily industrial maintenance and repairs on production and packaging equipment, including extruders, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and high-speed packaging machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures involving motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and power transmission components
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance work orders to ensure equipment reliability
• Collaborate with Operations to reduce downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Adhere to all safety, food manufacturing, and plant procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance, or completion of an apprenticeship
• 2+ years of experience as a Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or in a similar industrial role
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
• Ability to work in various manufacturing environments (hot, cold, humid, or dusty)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food or industrial manufacturing
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, stick)
• Experience with machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, or mills
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or articulated lifts
