About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive maintenance inspections and tasks via the maintenance management system
- Maintain and repair domestic plumbing, hot water heating systems, fixtures, traps, and electric hot water heaters
- Manage Drain Waste Vent (DWV) systems, airlines, and compressors
- Conduct daily water tests and ensure correct water chemistry for boiler systems
- Order consumables and materials for preventive, periodic, and corrective maintenance
- Assist with estimates for installation, repair, and replacement of plumbing and heating systems
- Install new components according to working drawings and OEM recommendations
- Inspect subcontractor work and correct minor deficiencies
Requirements
- Red Seal (Plumbing) Certification or Ontario 306A
- Gas Fitter (G2) certification
- 3+ years of plumbing experience in a commercial setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid G driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level II security clearance with the Government of Canada
- Proficiency in reading technical documents and drawings
Preferred Qualifications
- Backflow certification
