Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and cGMP utility systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement lasting solutions.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate work with external contractors and vendors.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Complete maintenance documentation in compliance with cGMP and SOP requirements.
• Respond to emergencies such as critical equipment failures or power disruptions.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with motors, pumps, sensors, and core maintenance techniques like lubrication and alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Availability to work a weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in FDA-regulated industries such as pharma or food production.
• Certifications such as OSHA, EPA Refrigerant Handling, or an electrician’s license.
• Knowledge of PLCs, GMP requirements, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
