Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and packaging equipment
• Focus on the utilities side of maintenance, including boilers, pumps, and liquid fillers
• Perform routine preventative maintenance (PMs), repairs, rebuilds, and modifications on assigned equipment
• Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical problems to perform repairs through adjustments or part replacement
• Wire moderately complex control circuits and perform electronic component replacement and calibration
• Fabricate, repair, and install various types of piping (hot/cold water, steam, process, and condensate)
• Weld various metals and machine metals, plastics, and composites
• Troubleshoot 3-phase 480V motors and VFDs
• Complete work orders and necessary paperwork associated with repairs or calibration
• Ensure all work activities comply with quality, safety, and food safety (GMP) requirements

Requirements

• 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• 1 year of experience troubleshooting 3-phase (480V) circuits, motor starters, controls, and electronic circuit boards
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Flexibility to work 3rd shift (9:30 PM - 6:00 AM) and overtime as needed
