Maintenance Mechanic I

Responsibilities

• Provide effective service and maintenance of factory equipment to ensure production targets and food safety standards are met.
• Perform reactive maintenance and troubleshooting to address machine breakdowns with speed and accuracy.
• Maintain a strong shop floor presence to monitor production line performance and take prompt corrective actions.
• Ensure all tools and parts are sanitized before use on the production floor in compliance with food safety policies.
• Manage spare parts inventory by correctly booking out items and ensuring replaced parts are returned to stores.
• Maintain clean, organized, and tidy work areas, workshops, and stores using a "clean as you go" policy.
• Keep up-to-date records of all equipment to maintain full traceability.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in math and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in various conditions, including cold temperatures, high noise levels, and humid environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of related maintenance experience.
