Maintenance Mechanic I

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, and industrial utility systems
• Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance on boilers, air compressors, condensers, and waste-water treatment systems
• Ensure compliance with PSM and RMP policies through regular equipment inspections and daily rounds
• Troubleshoot unsafe conditions and take corrective action to ensure human safety
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols (HACCP/MCP)
• Read and follow basic and advanced mechanical drawings and schematics
• Complete daily shift record keeping, reporting, and work order documentation
• Participate as an active member of the emergency response team

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for automated mechanical processes
• Ability to work multiple shifts and schedules, including 3rd shift
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of related maintenance or industrial mechanical experience
