Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Safely carry out maintenance priorities to cover facility needs
• Provide preventative maintenance for buildings, plant equipment, and boilers
• Utilize technical skills such as welding and pipe fitting for repairs and improvements
• Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team and employee safety committee
• Ensure maintenance activities do not contaminate products and follow clean-up SOPPs
• Review SDS and handling information to ensure proper work practices
• Provide daily write-ups of maintenance activities to the supervisor
• Maintain security of tools, equipment, and parts inventory
• Monitor contractors and vendors for safety compliance
• Recommend changes to SOPPs and equipment for greater efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Knowledge of safe and proper welding techniques
• Ability to operate mobile industrial equipment safely
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience
• Knowledge of proper piping procedures
