Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, systems, and utilities
• Troubleshoot issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and control circuits
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and use electrical testing equipment
• Manage boiler operations and troubleshoot steam generation problems
• Maintain and repair the anhydrous ammonia system
• Use hand tools, lathes, drill presses, saws, and welding equipment for mechanical repairs
• Adhere to plant GMP, sanitation, and food safety (SQF) policies
• Ensure safe operational practices for self and others

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing
• Prior experience in industrial maintenance
• Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel)
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs
• Experience with Ammonia Refrigeration
• Experience working with outside vendors and contractors
