Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Execute all job duties with a strong safety mindset following permitting and food safety procedures
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery including valves, conveyors, compressors, packers, fillers, and pumps
• Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, and motor starters
• Perform work order repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and equipment rebuilds
• Operate welders, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking equipment
• Fabricate and modify new or existing equipment
• Create work orders documenting parts and labor hours

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for detailed repair reports
• Proficiency with basic office computer software and maintenance software
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work at elevations up to 75 feet
• Proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or a technical trade certificate
• Experience operating in a food and beverage plant
