About the role
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical equipment
- Perform electrical maintenance on motors, control panels, wiring, sensors, switches, and VFDs
- Troubleshoot equipment failures quickly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
- Complete preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment and systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical specifications
- Fabricate plant items using welders, torches, band saws, and other shop tools
- Maintain plant sanitation and safety standards while supporting reliability initiatives
Requirements
- Valid MN state Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong emphasis in electrical systems
- Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and equipment specifications
- Skilled in operating forklifts, bobcats, and end-loaders
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting
- Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Experience with electrical controls, relays, and sensors
