Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on production machinery, building equipment, and systems.
• Perform scheduled lubrication and preventative maintenance on moving parts, including bearings, chains, and gears.
• Troubleshoot low voltage control circuits such as starters, fuses, breakers, and switches.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment (amp, volt, ohmmeter) to complete repairs.
• Set up and operate arc and gas welders and acetylene torches for mechanical repairs.
• Complete standard documentation after each job and report defective materials or unusual situations to the supervisor.
• Act as a backup Group Lead and lead technicians in continuous improvement efforts when required.
• Participate in evacuation drills and respond to emergency situations as a member of the response team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Windows-based programs and computer usage.
• Knowledge of basic electricity, including fuses, contacts, and low voltage circuits.
• Ability to work 3rd shift, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of technical education in a related field.
