Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Support Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) processes by following safe operating practices and regulations
• Execute routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment
• Perform maintenance on pumps, rotating equipment, compressors, valves, piping, and packaging equipment
• Document technical findings and accurately close out work requests in a timely manner
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to solve manufacturing process issues and maintain supply continuity
• Contribute to continuous productivity improvements within a collaborative team environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Mechanical experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or a related industrial field
• Proficiency with mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs (pumps, compressors, actuators, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, process flow charts, and technical drawings
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and work at heights or in confined spaces
• Valid driver's license and a TWIC card (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Flexibility to work on call, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, such as forklifts and telehandlers

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational training or trade school coursework focused on mechanical work
• Certification or licensure in trades such as welding or pump and valve repair
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or SAP
• Familiarity with reliability improvement methodologies like Lean Sigma
• HAZWOPER certification
