Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Maintain all facilities and production equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-conscious manner within a cGMP environment.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, and inspect equipment to determine causes of improper operation or machine stoppages.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance checks, calibrations, and adjustments to optimize performance.
• Document all completed work orders using paper or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Clean and lubricate gears, motors, chains, and bearings.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs and monitor their work to ensure it meets company standards.
• Work with the Facilities team to integrate new products and technologies into the production stream.
• Ensure appropriate change control is in place before proceeding with maintenance outside of like-for-like repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of related mechanic experience in a manufacturing, production, or fulfillment environment.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Understanding of basic electrical concepts, circuit design, and HVAC concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed repair manuals, documents, or blueprints.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 35' on a scissor lift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electro-mechanical aptitude, certification, or formal education.
• Experience with root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with packaging equipment such as carton sealers, erectors, and conveyors.
• Experience operating scissor lifts and forklifts.
