Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment failures to minimize downtime
• Diagnose root causes of equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions
• Repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical components including pumps, gearboxes, and valves
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation using CMMS systems
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting and minor electrical repairs
• Maintain HVAC, lighting, water, sewer, and facility systems
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic or technician in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Hands-on experience with industrial gearboxes and pumps
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining rotating equipment
• Familiarity with CMMS and preventative maintenance programs
• PLC exposure and familiarity

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Industrial, electrical, and/or welding certifications or licenses
• Experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts
• Experience troubleshooting or programming PLCs
• Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems
• Experience with liquid transfer systems, diaphragm pumps, and conveyors
