Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform shift tours and log readings
• Start up and shut down major building equipment
• Execute all water treatment duties
• Conduct diesel, fire alarm, and life safety tests
• Perform minor repairs and major fan/AHU maintenance and alignment
• Service and troubleshoot minor chillers and heat pumps
• Maintain compressors and perform mechanical tasks like filter and belt changing
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks via the CMMS system
• Respond to client trouble calls and perform appropriate repairs
• Verify the quality of work completed by subcontractors
• Report day-to-day operations to the Project Manager

Requirements

• Extensive experience with HVAC and mechanical systems
• Ontario trade qualifications or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability clearance (must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of 5 years)
