Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and repair, rebuild, or maintain plant equipment
• Provide support for both preventive and failure-based maintenance
• Recommend equipment modifications or upgrades to improve reliability and performance
• Read equipment drawings and documentation to guide repairs
• Document all work performed and modifications made to equipment
• Respond to after-hours call-ins on evenings and weekends as needed

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of mechanical maintenance experience
• Proficiency with coupling alignments, conveyors, and safe rigging practices
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, cutting, grinding, and welding
• Familiarity with gearboxes, power transmission, and conveying systems (elevators, augers, etc.)
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and dusty environments
• Physical ability to lift 55 pounds and stand or sit for long periods
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
