Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on equipment and facilities at a wheat flour mill as part of a self-directed team
• Optimize equipment efficiency, personnel safety, and product quality
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with established company policies and procedures
• Facilitate adherence to safety regulations and participate in safety audits
• Ensure the facility maintains world-class sanitation and food safety standards
• Proactively support operational excellence and mentor new hires within the maintenance department

Requirements

• Strong electrical background and knowledge of mechanical systems
• Proven problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or extreme temperatures
• Willingness to participate in a team on-call rotation schedule
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
• Experience operating forklifts or scissor lifts
