Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Be the primary person for compliance with PM plan requirements and company policies
• Maintain and repair fryers, packaging machines, and other plant equipment
• Maintain hydraulic loading docks, forklifts, and pallet jacks
• Consult equipment manuals and online resources to keep equipment in proper working order
• Keep equipment lubricated and in good working order to prevent shutdowns
• Work with approved vendor partners to ensure smooth operations
• Participate in the selection of new or replacement equipment
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors for essential maintenance tasks
• Participate in continuous improvements to product safety and quality
• Follow all plant safety, USDA, SQF, and GMP guidelines

Requirements

• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial food manufacturing equipment
• Experience with hydraulic loading docks, forklifts, and pallet jacks
• Ability to consult equipment manuals and resources for troubleshooting
• Strong commitment to plant safety, USDA, SQF, and GMP guidelines
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• High ethical standards and problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics related to manufacturing equipment
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
