Maintenance Mechanic 2

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair packaging equipment to ensure high-quality production
• Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, and running adjustments on packaging lines
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems to prevent recurrence and minimize downtime
• Use hand and power tools to perform specific maintenance duties and repairs
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient line rates and support site business goals
• Maintain a safe and organized workplace by adhering to 5S standards and safety protocols
• Document maintenance activities and participate in daily directional setting meetings

Requirements

• 2-3 years of applicable maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to perform basic mathematical and computer tasks
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and various types of standard instructions
• Strong reasoning skills to solve practical problems in non-standardized situations
• Professional proficiency in verbal communication to participate effectively in team conversations

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical School degree or equivalent training
• Previous experience working with packaging equipment
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong attention to detail
