Maintenance Mechanic 2

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair packaging equipment to ensure high-quality production.
• Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, and running adjustments on packaging lines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems to prevent recurrence and minimize downtime.
• Use hand and power tools to perform specific maintenance duties and repairs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and technical instructions.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient line rates and support business goals.
• Execute Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) activities and participate in OPEX initiatives.
• Maintain a safe and organized workplace by adhering to 5S standards and cGMP/GCP policies.
• Document maintenance actions and provide feedback during daily directional setting meetings.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of applicable maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical school diploma or equivalent training.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills, including the ability to operate common programs.
• Ability to read and interpret various types of standard instructions and equipment manuals.
• High reasoning skills to solve practical problems in non-standardized situations.
• Ability to work the Weekend B shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 6:45pm - 7:00am).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with packaging equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail.
