Maintenance Mechanic 2 - HVAC

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems to ensure proper performance in research and critical environments
• Use building automation systems (such as Siemens Insight, Siemens Desigo, and Ecostruxure) to monitor and diagnose equipment
• Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance and general building repairs
• Coordinate work orders and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Respond to emergencies, after-hours, and on-call maintenance needs as required

Requirements

• High school diploma and four years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or repair (or completion of a recognized apprenticeship)
• Experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in large or complex buildings
• Proficiency with building automation systems related to HVAC, lighting, and alarm systems
• Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one by time of hire)
• Ability to work on-call and respond to emergency maintenance needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a State of Washington trade license or certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of air handling, chilled water, heating, and control systems
• Experience working in institutional, industrial, or commercial facilities
