About the role
Responsibilities
- Daily supervision of maintenance staff and delegation of work orders
- Inspection and oversight of existing and completed work orders
- Management of HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, and appliance service requests
- Mentoring and training new and existing maintenance staff members
- Involvement in interviewing and selection of new team members
- Providing monthly energy management recommendations
- Identifying capital improvements and obtaining required estimates/bids
- Assisting in budget preparation for maintenance expenses
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in hotel, apartment, or hospital maintenance/engineering
- 2 years of supervisory experience leading a team
- HVAC or EPA Universal Certification is required
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing, appliances, water heaters, chillers/boilers, and HVAC
- Proven track record managing preventative maintenance programs and capital projects
- Excellent customer service and computer skills
