Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment and facility reliability.
• Oversee troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, spare parts, and capital expenses.
• Maintain accurate equipment histories and work orders using CMMS (FIIX).
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, FDA, and USDA standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team, overseeing training and performance evaluations.
• Manage contractor work and critical spare parts inventory.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of processing and packaging equipment, utilities (boilers, compressed air), and automation systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, HVAC, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with FIIX systems and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of CBM (condition-based monitoring) and FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis).
• Experience in FDA/USDA-regulated food manufacturing facilities.
• Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and SQF regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices.
