About the role

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage a team of 17 shift-based mechanics and electricians, including collaborating with maintenance leaders and support staff.
  • Organize and lead reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance for all factory equipment.
  • Oversee all aspects of safety and food safety related to plant maintenance activities.
  • Manage maintenance escalations from Operations, Safety, and Quality functions to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Lead MSE (Manufacturing System Excellence) activities, specifically taking ownership of the Breakdown Elimination (BDE) pillar.
  • Drive loss elimination and optimize production line efficiencies using data from site CMMS and collection systems.
  • Develop the technical skills and knowledge of the maintenance team to meet factory needs.
  • Lead maintenance projects focused on safety, food safety, and factory efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing environments.
  • 5+ years of experience managing maintenance teams.
  • 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in production settings.
  • Background in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or professional licensing as a Millwright or Electrical Maintenance professional.
  • Proven ability to engage, motivate, and develop employees.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a results-driven approach to operational excellence.
