Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, including planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance department
• Ensure the upkeep of all plant machinery, equipment, and utility services for production and warehouses to minimize operational disruptions
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and the purchase department for the procurement of spare parts and new machinery
• Implement improvements to the current setup and manage external contractors for project-based jobs
• Inspect fire protection systems and act as a Fire Marshall to conduct drills and educate personnel on safety issues
• Manage department performance against KPIs and oversee spending against the budget
• Liaise with Production, Logistics, and Warehousing departments to resolve bottlenecks caused by breakdowns
• Manage the inventory of maintenance spare parts, including conducting yearly stock counts
• Ensure adherence to company health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance within a chemical industry environment
• Experience working with ISO standards
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office software
• Competency in sustainable asset management, energy optimization, and environmental stewardship

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-graduation in Electromechanical systems
• Experience working within an international industrial or chemical environment
