Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance department, including the vehicle workshop, building, and cleaning teams.
• Implement process reliability systems to improve production equipment performance and align with operational targets.
• Manage plant-wide preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and oversee the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Drive technical improvement initiatives, such as automation enhancements, equipment upgrades, and new machinery installations.
• Oversee building and facilities upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets and analyze annual costs to optimize equipment lifecycle management.
• Foster a proactive safety culture by enforcing "Zero Harm" policies and conducting regular risk assessments.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a diverse team of technical professionals, including Fitters, Electricians, and Millwrights.
• Coordinate with external contractors to ensure work is delivered within scope, budget, and timelines.

Requirements

• Diploma in a relevant technical field.
• Trade tested Millwright or Electrician qualification.
• 8-10 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role (sawmill experience preferred).
• 10 years of experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown analysis, and reliability improvement.
• Proficiency in PLC Programming.
• Hands-on experience with conveyor belt systems.
