Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as a working supervisor overseeing both mechanical and structural trades
• Manage, prioritize, and delegate work orders for a staff of up to ten trades workers
• Provide daily oversight, personnel accountability, and schedule management
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
• Coordinate with Grounds, Project, and Custodial Managers to ensure resource allocation and work priority alignment
• Conduct daily and long-range planning to assist in the capital planning process
• Review blueprints and specifications to guide maintenance and project work
• Act as essential personnel to provide maintenance services during emergencies or institution closures
• Ensure all safety requirements, procedures, and preventative maintenance checks are strictly followed

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in a skilled trade
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, email, and internet applications)
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on lifts up to 85 feet high
• Must supply own trade tools and reliable transportation
