About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch daily maintenance work, including preventive, predictive, and corrective tasks across cell manufacturing assets.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring all activities follow OSHA, lockout/tagout, and hazardous energy requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians on mechanical, electrical, controls, and robotics issues.
  • Optimize maintenance plans, spare parts strategies, and work instructions to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Use Maximo to manage work orders, track downtime, and maintain accurate asset history.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to plan maintenance around production builds and trials.
  • Support root-cause analysis and implement continuous improvement activities to reduce unplanned downtime.

Requirements

  • Technical degree, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance (mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics).
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or technical operations within manufacturing, pilot, or development environments.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls systems.
  • Experience with robotics, vision systems, and automation diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across multiple technicians and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work onsite in a development lab/manufacturing environment, including off-shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes (electrode, assembly, formation).
  • Experience working in development, pilot, or startup environments.
  • Proficiency using Maximo and other maintenance planning tools.
  • Background in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
