Maintenance Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support 2nd shift maintenance technicians
• Prioritize and assign daily work orders and tasks to the maintenance team
• Perform and oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on sheet metal fabrication equipment, including press brakes, CNC laser cutters, and turret punches
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns to minimize unplanned downtime
• Enforce safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and PM schedules within the CMMS
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and 5S

Requirements

• 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Direct experience with sheet metal fabrication machinery
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience
• Availability to work 2nd shift (4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.) and weekend work as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Team Lead or Senior Technician
• PLC troubleshooting or basic programming exposure
• Experience using CMMS software
• Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies
