Maintenance Fitter

Responsibilities

• Perform fault-finding, diagnostic activities, and repairs to ensure continuous plant operation
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services and assist in organizing shutdowns
• Plan regular maintenance activities and recommend improvements to fixed plant and work practices
• Supervise on-site contractors
• Document maintenance activities, maintain databases, and generate purchasing requests
• Perform fabrication activities using blueprints or schematic drawings, including minor welding and operating metalworking equipment like lathes and drill presses

Requirements

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (AUS) or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and repairing a range of machinery
• Experience working with pumps, compressors, high-pressure valves, and flanges
• Essential computer literacy
• Ability to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift license
• EWP license
• Confined space certification
• Working at heights certification
