About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance of mechanical services, plant, and equipment
  • Determine root causes of equipment issues and implement effective solutions
  • Support machine and equipment effectiveness improvements (OEE, MEP, OPEX)
  • Identify and source necessary equipment spare parts
  • Assist with preventative maintenance, equipment qualifications, and commissioning of new plant/equipment
  • Troubleshoot and correct technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime
  • Support continuous improvement programs and regulatory/compliance audits
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet appropriate health and safety standards

Requirements

  • Trade Certified Mechanical Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a highly automated production environment
  • Proven experience with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation systems
  • Ability to interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and mechanical specifications
  • Experience working in a GMP or other regulated environment
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work weekend 12-hour shifts on a bi-weekly rotation (days and nights)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotech, or aseptic processing industries
  • Experience with machining and welding
  • Experience in the maintenance of electromechanical manufacturing equipment
