Maintenance Facility Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Diagnose and repair facility-related issues such as lighting, fixtures, doors, walls, and flooring
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
• Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and ensure optimal operation
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and service records
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors
• Support facility upgrades, renovations, and improvement projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or related field
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
• OSHA safety certification
