About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee tank turnaround projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Provide leadership and directional support in the planning and scheduling of both shutdown and routine tank maintenance
- Define work methods, activities, resources, materials, and logical sequences for maintenance execution
- Responsible for QA/QC and oversight of work delivered by third-party contractors
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for tanks of varying services, sizes, and complexities
- Prepare and manage detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP) or Primavera P6 (P6)
- Assess and implement various contract types (unit rates, T&M, lumpsum) to optimize project execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope and evaluate risks
- Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting schedules and budgets as required
- Lead maintenance data analysis to improve overall asset maintenance efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or a relevant field) with a CGPA of 6.0 or above
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in tank maintenance or turnaround projects within the oil & gas industry
- Minimum 4 years of experience specifically in maintenance/shutdown planning and scheduling
- Strong knowledge of industry practices in tankage maintenance
- Understanding of API-650 and API-653 standards and their applicability
- Proficiency in developing detailed schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP) or Primavera P6 (P6)
- Experience in preparing cost estimates for diverse tank operational conditions
- Ability to work morning or evening shifts as required
