About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource for the maintenance of rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, and gear systems
- Support the reliability of fixed equipment such as heat exchangers, coolers, and cold boxes
- Oversee auxiliary systems including chillers, cooling towers, and water treatment systems
- Lead predictive maintenance programs focusing on vibration and oil analysis
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate equipment failures and resolve chronic reliability issues
- Develop and execute small capital or expense projects under $100K to improve equipment reliability
- Analyze performance data to drive improvements in reliability and efficiency
- Support turnaround planning, execution, and long-term reliability mitigation strategies
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement across mechanical assets
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Associate or Bachelor) with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR 15+ years of hands-on experience without a degree
- Must hold a Level I Vibration Analysis certification
- Demonstrated experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating and mechanical equipment
- Strong working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and standard computer applications
- Ability to work in both field and office environments with 20–30% domestic travel and off-hours availability

- Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes independently
- Experience applying Six Sigma methodologies in an industrial setting
