About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for the maintenance of rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, and gear systems
  • Support the reliability of fixed equipment such as heat exchangers, coolers, and cold boxes
  • Oversee auxiliary systems including chillers, cooling towers, and water treatment systems
  • Lead predictive maintenance programs focusing on vibration and oil analysis
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate equipment failures and resolve chronic reliability issues
  • Develop and execute small capital or expense projects under $100K to improve equipment reliability
  • Analyze performance data to drive improvements in reliability and efficiency
  • Support turnaround planning, execution, and long-term reliability mitigation strategies
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement across mechanical assets

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Associate or Bachelor) with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR 15+ years of hands-on experience without a degree
  • Must hold a Level I Vibration Analysis certification
  • Demonstrated experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating and mechanical equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office and standard computer applications
  • Ability to work in both field and office environments with 20–30% domestic travel and off-hours availability

  • Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes independently
  • Experience applying Six Sigma methodologies in an industrial setting
