Maintenance Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Conduct a defined engineering or process improvement project with clear scope and deliverables
• Apply graduate-level technical knowledge to real manufacturing challenges in slider/HGA operations
• Perform data analysis, technical documentation, and experiment design under mentor guidance
• Present findings to the engineering team at mid-point and program close
• Contribute technical insights and participate in structured learning sessions

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
• Completed Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline
• Strong academic record with an active thesis or research project
• Availability for a 3-6 month structured internship
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Minitab, Python, or MATLAB
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Research related to manufacturing, materials, process optimization, or precision engineering
• Experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, or process simulation
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or quality engineering methodologies
• Prior industry internship or research collaboration with a manufacturing firm
