About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive maintenance process improvements to support manufacturing objectives regarding quality, service, and cost.
- Interpret data autonomously to drive plant decision-making and prioritize reliability efforts.
- Plan, execute, and manage efficiency improvement projects and develop process controls to stabilize equipment reliability.
- Create and modify preventive maintenance tasks and work plans to transition unplanned emergency events to planned maintenance.
- Maintain hands-on interaction with manufacturing equipment, including station setup and troubleshooting using specialized tools and gages.
- Develop and deliver training to build capability within the plant engineering and operations teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and cGMP/FDA guidelines.
- Serve as a backup for the Engineering Maintenance Manager and provide off-shift support as required.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience working directly on automated manufacturing equipment.
- Hands-on experience in the setup and operation of automated production equipment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated success using problem-solving methodologies such as A3, PDCA, or DMAIC.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical ability with pneumatic actuators, servo motors, limit switches, sensors, and robotics.
- Experience with SOLIDWORKS or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with cGMP guidelines and ISO 13485/21FDA820 regulations.
- Experience working in a regulated industry, specifically with consumable products.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and understand complex technical drawings and manuals.
- Multi-language fluency in English and Malay.
