Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Maintain guest rooms, common areas, and essential equipment such as refrigerators and ice machines
• Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to ensure property aesthetics and functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, leaks, and electrical issues promptly
• Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms and power outages, with a focus on guest safety
• Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines regarding tool usage, chemical handling, and machinery operation
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure proper storage of tools and hazardous materials

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in hotel maintenance or a related technical field
• Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
• Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs, scale ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry
