About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance teams to ensure the smooth and safe operation of manufacturing processes.
- Provide hands-on technical support on the production floor (expected to be 70% or more).
- Troubleshoot and minimize the impact of equipment failures to maintain reliability and availability.
- Act as a shift leader, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring work safety.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance actions and update risk analyses.
- Manage performance for direct reports, including annual reviews and coaching.
- Maintain the maintenance information system and technical documentation.
- Ensure strict application of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and procedures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, trades work, or as a hands-on engineering technician.
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a preferred), Millwright (433a preferred), or a relevant technician diploma/certification.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with PLC, VFD, sensors, and High Frequency heating equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and motors.
- Proficiency with SAP.
