Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities

• Provide essential electrical support to the production line to ensure high production rates and product quality
• Respond promptly to production staff requests by troubleshooting and providing technical solutions
• Engage in preventative and predictive maintenance to optimize plant operations
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications for industrial equipment installations
• Install, examine, replace, and repair electrical components, wiring, and fixtures
• Conduct testing and maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment and control systems
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance Mechanics and external contractors as needed

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician License
• College Degree in a technical field (preferably electrical, computer, or electronics)
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience or completion of a Canadian Apprenticeship program
• Proficiency in VFD drives, servo drives, PLC-controlled automation, motor control circuits, and industrial instrumentation
• Strong understanding of the Ontario Electrical Code
• Ability to work a continental rotating shift schedule (12-hour shifts rotating weekly between days and nights)
