Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical maintenance and technical support across East Tamaki and Penrose manufacturing sites
• Perform fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, automation, and control systems
• Plan, execute, and document preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Install, program, commission, and maintain PLCs, VSDs, and automated production equipment
• Support automation and process improvement projects
• Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency initiatives
• Manage electrical spare parts, consumables, and external contractors
• Maintain compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Level 6 or equivalent
• Current New Zealand Electrical Registration and Practising Licence (A Grade)
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Electrician in FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial processing
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills in electrical and automation systems
• Project management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the plastics, recycling, or processing industry
