Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including motors, transformers, starters, control panels, and rotating equipment
• Diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and megohmmeters
• Maintain and calibrate process control equipment and instrumentation
• Install new conduit, cabling, and equipment based on engineering drawings
• Adhere to NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records in the CMMS
• Provide support during scheduled or unscheduled plant shutdowns

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical school training or apprenticeship completion
• Valid State Journeyman Electrician License
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
• Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an industrial or plant electrician
• Background in chemical or petrochemical environments
• Mechanical aptitude, preferably in fluid mechanics
