About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and systems, including VFDs, logic circuits, and instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, low and high voltage, and mechanical equipment.
- Support engineering projects by designing control systems and developing control concepts, coding, and implementation.
- Direct the work of outside contractors and maintenance technicians regarding PLC-based control systems and operator interfaces.
- Act as a technical resource for operations and maintenance to resolve control-related issues.
- Prepare job aids, user documentation, and standard operating procedures for plant automation systems.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas while adhering to all safety standards.
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent (degree in controls, electrical, or electronics preferred).
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a production environment.
- Working knowledge of National Electric Codes and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work the day shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.) and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in controls, electrical, or electronics including computer science coursework.
- OSHA 10 certification or better.
- Experience with computer programming, system analysis, and design.
