Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns with precision
• Respond to breakdown calls as primary or backup to ensure seamless operations
• Perform electrical maintenance on Radio Frequency generators
• Apply PLC knowledge to perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Install new electrical services and update wiring documentation/drawings
• Collaborate with Industrial Mechanics on machinery repairs and maintenance
• Adhere strictly to preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience, including apprenticeship hours
• Valid provincial certification as an Industrial Electrician license (442A)
• Proven PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Grade 12 equivalency
• Proof of completed apprenticeship
• Ability to work the weekend day shift (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 6:30-18:30)

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary Degree in Engineering or Science
• Previous manufacturing experience in a GMP environment
• Experience in the food or manufacturing industry
• Experience with Radio Frequency Heat Sealing welding processes
• Practical experience using Lean tools such as 6S, Kaizen, or Value Stream Mapping
