Maintenance Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance and housekeeping functions for the assisted living facility
• Perform hands-on technical tasks including electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairs
• Coordinate people and tasks to accomplish building and equipment system alterations
• Establish and monitor a preventative maintenance program to ensure resident well-being
• Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and fire code regulations
• Manage administrative functions including staff supervision, payroll, operational expenses, and capital expenditures

Requirements

• Previous maintenance and housekeeping management experience in long-term care or assisted living
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Proven supervisory experience and ability to run a successful department
• Understanding of all applicable life safety regulations
• Knowledge of proper biohazardous waste handling practices
• Strong diagnostic abilities and communication skills
