Maintenance Custodian

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties to maintain cleanliness in residence halls, apartments, and dining areas
• Complete routine maintenance including painting, spackling, and minor patching
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as high-speed buffers, burnishers, shampooers, and vacuum cleaners
• Clean restrooms, classrooms, offices, and other university facilities
• Move heavy items including furniture, tables, and cleaning supplies
• Adhere to safety protocols by wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• Six months of experience in custodial, building maintenance, groundskeeping, or semi-skilled repair work (carpentry, electrical, or plumbing)
• Ability to read and write
• Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one by time of hire)
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders continuously throughout a shift
