About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform custodial duties to maintain cleanliness in residence halls, apartments, and dining areas
- Complete routine maintenance including painting, spackling, and minor patching
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as high-speed buffers, burnishers, shampooers, and vacuum cleaners
- Clean restrooms, classrooms, offices, and other university facilities
- Move heavy items including furniture, tables, and cleaning supplies
- Adhere to safety protocols by wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- Six months of experience in custodial, building maintenance, groundskeeping, or semi-skilled repair work (carpentry, electrical, or plumbing)
- Ability to read and write
- Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one by time of hire)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders continuously throughout a shift
